Celebrating Pride: Be authentically you

At NeoMetal, we firmly believe in fostering a world that is safe, inclusive, and supportive for all individuals, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. As Pride Month approaches, we are thrilled to launch our expanded Pride Collection, featuring three stunning new titanium clusters. This collection is meant to help promote visibility and representation for LGBTQIA+ individuals everywhere.

The LGBTQIA+ Community's Influence on Body Piercing

The LGBTQ+ community has played a large role in shaping the modern body piercing industry, and the relationship between queer identity and body modifications has a long history. In 1975, Jim Ward founded the first-ever piercing studio and body jewelry manufacturer, Gauntlet. As a gay man, Ward learned to pierce as part of the BDSM and leather community, and this community made up a large part of Gauntlet’s customer base. As piercing gained more mainstream popularity in the '90s, its roots remained firmly embedded in the LGBTQIA+ community, serving as a powerful symbol of bodily autonomy and self-expression. Despite piercing and body modifications now being more widely accepted, queer rights and bodies are still publicly debated, restricted, and demonized.

Supporting The Trevor Project

This year we are proud to donate $10,000 to support The Trevor Project, the leading suicide prevention and mental health organization for LGBTQIA+ young people. The Trevor Project’s mission is to end suicide among LGBTQIA+ young people.

The Story Behind our 2023 Pride Collection Font

At NeoMetal, we proudly chose the “Gilbert Color” font for our 2023 Pride Collection as a tribute to its creator,Gilbert Baker, a visionary LGBTQIA+ activist and artist. Gilbert Baker is widely recognized as the creator of the iconic rainbow flag, a powerful symbol of pride and inclusivity for the LGBTQIA+ community. Through this font selection, we honor his significant contributions in advancing LGBTQIA+ rights and fostering a sense of belonging. By utilizing the “Gilbert Color” font, we not only pay homage to Gilbert Baker but also celebrate his enduring legacy of promoting equality and acceptance.

Our expanded Pride Collection serves as a tangible expression of our unwavering support for the LGBTQIA+ community. We hope to inspire inclusivity, acceptance, and love not only during Pride Month but every day of the year. Let us celebrate and embrace the vibrant spectrum of identities that make our world truly extraordinary.
